Black Jaguar-White Tiger was reported for abandonment and mistreatment of endangered felines

The Association of Zoos, Breeders and Aquariums of Mexico, A.C. (AZCARM) files a complaint against Eduardo Mauricio Moises Serio, known as “Papa Bear” and owner of Black Jaguar-White Tiger, for extreme abandonment and mistreatment of thousands of endangered wild felines.

The complaint was filed with the FGR at the end of June, and the AZCARM has offered the use of its zoos as a shelter for felines rescued from that institution.

Years later, the foundation lost its registration, so they had to move the animals to another property that lacks the security measures to house the felines. The foundation doesn’t have the health measures, or management plans for proper wildlife.

On their website they claim to be a global nonprofit organization that changes the world through education, legal reform and animal rehabilitation. This is how they have received millionaire donations from Mexico and other parts of the world to take care of the animals.

In 2015, the Black Jaguar-White Tiger association obtained its registration by the SEMARNAT to guard the Wildlife confined to its facilities. Located on the Picacho Ajusco highway, kilometer 36, it housed a population of 300 (tigers, lynxes, jaguars, panthers, and lions of different ages).

Claudia Sheinbaum, Head of Government of Mexico City, thanked the complaints through her official Twitter account, and said that she contacted with Profepa to intervene and rescue the felines.
